Abalia and UCLM meet Aldea del Rey city council’s TIC head in order to analyze the small village point of view regarding smart city approach. Aldea del Rey is an 1800 population village in the region of Castilla-La Mancha. With respect to other bigger cities, they share some concerns, for example, water leaks are a problem, other problems like traffic, pollution, mobility are not the main concerns of small villages meanwhile they focus on problems regarding older people living alone in their houses, lack of opportunities for young people and local weather reports for agriculture workers. Citisim project will incorporate this set of requirements in its smart service development flow in order to attend this type of requirements (small villages are usually out of smart city discussion) as business opportunities for Citisim partners.

CitiSim Project (TSI-102107-2016-4) has been co-financed by Ministry of Energy, Tourism and the Digital Agenda inside National Plan for Scientific Research, Development and Technological innovation 2013-2016 of Spain.

By funds from Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology through the program INNOGLOBAL of Spain.

And by Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI) through project PN-III-P3-3.5-EUK-2016-0043 of Romania.
